Joost Bolsters Executive Team and Offers More Than 7,000 Hours of Video
Danny Passman and John Schultz have joined Joost as global head of programming strategy and director of programming strategy, respectively. Based in New York, they are responsible for creating programming strategies to drive viewership to the Joost platform, which currently features over 7,000 hours of videos. Most recently, both worked at start-up Dailymotion, helping to grow the site's U.S. traffic through content acquisition and curation. Previously both worked at fuse in series development. Danny worked at VH1 in series development and John worked at MTV and MTV UK in production.
Other recent additions to the Joost team include:
- Jason Gaedtke, chief architect (formerly of Comcast)
- Matt Zelesko, svp of engineering (also formerly of Comcast)
- Owen O'Donnell, chief financial officer (formerly of King.com and Betfair)
- Dina Nathanson, vice president, global human resources director (formerly of NBC Universal)
- Kyle Forster, vice president, product management (formerly of Cisco)
Joost has more than 30,000 program elements, including more than 400 television series and 1,200 movie and short film titles that span a wide range of entertainment across a number of genres, including animation, comedy, drama, music and sports.
